The device comes fully assembled and all the user has to do is put on the correct size dome tip for your ear. To put the device in properly to assure maximum benefit and comfort, make sure that you are putting the correct device in the correct ear. Each device has a colored marker inside the battery compartment. A blue marker indicates the left aid, while a red marker indicates the right aid. Place the dome tip in your ear canal first, holding the tip vertically, and move the body of the device behind your ear, making sure the tip stays firmly in your ear.
The more often you wear your devices, the easier it will be to get used to hearing with them. We recommend wearing them during all waking hours to maximize benefit. However, if you feel you do not need to or do not want to wear them this often, wear them whenever you feel it is necessary, specifically in difficult listening situations.

It is recommended that the devices are not worn during sleep to help prevent damage to the devices. It is also recommended that the devices are not worn when you are around loud sounds to prevent further hearing damage from occurring.

A whistling sound sometimes produced by hearing aids is called feedback. It occurs when sound that has already been amplified by the hearing aid leaks out of your ear and is picked up by the microphone and amplified again. Feedback is expected when a hand or item is placed over/ covering the microphone ports. Feedback should not occur when nothing is covering/near the microphone ports or when the wearer is talking/chewing.
